Since my last post, I received all of my betas feedback and they loved the book! She said it was excellent and she can’t wait to read the next. She even mentioned my characters are the kind that will stick in readers head for a long time! I was so shocked and happy. Woo!
I have finished reading all 47 (approximately 170,000 words) chapters of my book out loud and finished making changes. It took quite a long time, but I’m so ready to move on. The next step for my story is to get more betas, although I have decided to wait a bit longer. I may start looking for some next month.
Instead, I’m going to take a break from the story and do some art.
I finished drawing a picture of my character Alsar, which I posted some of the work in progress on my instagram and twitter. It’s only a headshot. It’s one of the best realistic drawings I have ever done. I’m so proud of it. I’ll share it when I introduce his character.
I’m also planning on working on the cover for my book. I’m going to make a rough sketch of what I want to show a cover designer, as well as search for a font I like. I really want to get a cover made soon. Just thinking about having it is exciting! The map is another thing I need to fix and will take up quite a long time, that is if I decide to draw it myself.
Onto the giveaway. It’s through twitter and it’s done by Bear. He’s giving away 4 chapters to everyone from my book. Chapters 1 & 2 are already available to read. HERE is the link if you’re interested in checking it out. Bear would appreciate it if you would retweet. He only has 3 so far.
I’m looking forward to the next couple of months!
